Preparation and Usage

Advice Always wash work surfaces, cutting boards, utensils and hands before and after preparing food and after disposal of packaging. Wash fruit and vegetables before use. Preparation Guidelines If required, remove the outer leaves. Cut each leek lengthways and rinse thoroughly under cold running water to remove any grit, drain. Cut into halves or slice. Cook as directed, drain and serve, topped with a cheese or savoury white sauce as a vegetable accompaniment. Alternatively add to soups, stews or casseroles. Top Tip: Leeks are versatile and can be boiled, braised, griddle or roasted. They also make a great base for soups, casseroles and stews.

Storage

Store in the fridge at 2-5°C to keep fresh for many days longer. If it still looks good enough to eat, it is!
