Brown Wheaten Bread Ingredients 240g Neill's Coarse Wholemeal Flour 40g Neill's Golden Fleece Flour 11g Bicarbonate of Soda 20g Porridge Oats 4g Salt 25g Dark Brown Sugar 1 tsp Cream of Tartar 270ml Buttermilk Method 1. Weigh out the wholemeal, dark brown sugar and porridge oats and turn into a bowl. 2. Sieve flour, salt, bicarbonate of soda and cream of tartar into the same bowl. Mix the dry ingredients together so they are evenly distributed. 3. Add the buttermilk and mix with a wooden spoon to form a medium stiff dough. 4. Generously sprinkle your baking board with wholemeal flour and turn out the dough and shape into a round with your hands. 5. Place into a 17cm cake tin mark into quarters, sprinkle with the wholemeal flour. 6. And bake in centre of a hot oven 210°C for 35-40 minutes. The base of the loaf should sound hollow when you tap it. Turn onto a wire rack to cool. Makes 1 Loaf, Time: 50 mins
