Makes 1 bannock Ingredients - 450g Mortons soda bread flour - Generous pinch of salt - 350ml Buttermilk Tip: When ready, the loaf should make a hollow sound when tapped Method 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C or gas mark 6. In a large bowl mix the flour, salt and buttermilk to create a soft dough. 2. Turn out onto a floured baking tray and shape into a thick round, approx. 3cm deep and mark a cross along the top with a sharp knife. 3. Bake for 25 minutes until golden and turn out onto a wire rack to cool.
