Preparation and Usage

Enjoy your baking with Jack's. Have your cake and eat it. Preparation guidelines You will need: 2 medium eggs; 120ml water; 2 x 20cm (8 inch) greased and lined round cake tins or 12 cupcake cases and a cupcake or muffin tin. Sponge cake method: Pre-heat the oven to 190°C/Fan 170°C/Gas Mark 5. Empty the sponge mix into a mixing bowl and add the eggs and water. Mix with an electric whisk for 2 minutes until smooth. Divide the mixture equally into the tins and bake in the centre of the oven for 15-20 minutes until well risen. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tins for 5 minutes before turning out onto a cooling rack. Cupcake method: Pre-heat the oven, as above. Place the cupcake cases into a cupcake or muffin tin. Empty the cake mix into a mixing bowl and add the eggs and water. Beat with an electric mixer for 2 minutes until smooth. Divide the mixture equally between the cupcake cases and bake in the centre of the oven for 15-18 minutes until well risen. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Not suitable for microwave cooking. Be food safe: All appliances are different so this is a general guide.
