Preparation and Usage

Directions for Conventional Melting For best results, break bar into small pieces and place in a glass or Pyrex bowl. Sit the bowl over a pan of simmering water. Do not overheat. The slower you melt your squares, the shinier your Wonderbar will be. Directions for Melting in a Microwave Oven Break into squares and place in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave on a medium setting, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted. Do not overheat. When spreading Wonderbar, use a warm knife.

Dark Chocolate Frosting What you need: 120g butter 170g sifted icing sugar 120g Homecook Wonderbar (melted as per instructions) Method: With a wooden spoon, cream together the butter and the icing sugar. Add the melted Wonderbar and use as a filling or topping for cakes and biscuits. Decadent Brownies What you will need: 50g Homecook Wonderbar 100g butter 200g caster sugar 2 eggs, lightly whisked 1 -2 tsp pure vanilla extract 75g ground almonds 1 -2 tsp baking powder pinch of salt 100g chopped walnuts 20cm/8in square tin, lined with silicone paper Method: 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4. 2. Cream the butter and sugar until pale, soft and light, then beat in the lightly whisked eggs, the vanilla extract and melted Wonderbar chocolate. Lastly stir in the ground almonds, baking powder, salt and chopped nuts. Spread the mixture in the tin and bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes. 3. Leave to cool, then cut into 5cm/2in squares for serving.
