Wholemeal Cheese Scones Ingredients 250g Neill's Medium Wholemeal Flour 250g Neill's Golden Fleece Flour 2 tsp Baking Powder 1/2 tsp Salt 200g Grated Cheddar Cheese 100g Grated Parmesan Cheese 400ml Milk 1 Egg, Beaten Method 1. Preheat oven to 220°C / Gas 7. Line the baking tray with greaseproof paper. 2. Place the flour, baking powder, salt and cheddar cheese into a mixing bowl and mix the dry ingredients until evenly distributed. 3. Add the milk and blend into a light soft consistency. Do not over mix. 4. Turn the mix onto a lightly floured board. Roll out to approx 2.5cm thick. 5. Cut into rounds or squares. Place the scones onto a lightly floured baking tray. 6. Brush the surface of the scones with beaten egg or milk and top with the grated parmesan. 7. Bake for 15 minutes until well risen and golden. 8. Allow to cool down slightly before slicing. Make 8-10, Time: 30 mins
