You Will Need: For the cake: 3 medium free range eggs 60ml vegetable oil (4tbsp) 190ml water Serves 12† 2 x 8" (20cm) well-greased loose-bottomed cake tins (or 2 x cupcake trays & †24 cupcake cases). For decoration: 1 tub of Dr. Oetker Cream Cheese Style Icing Get Baking! Preheat your oven to 170°C (Fan 150°C) Gas Mark 3. Mix together the cake mix, eggs, oil and water. For best results whisk with an electric mixer for 2 minutes until thick, smooth and creamy (you can mix by hand too). Pour the cake mixture evenly into your 2 greased cake tins or cupcake cases. Bake in the centre of the preheated oven for 35 minutes or until a skewer inserted fully in the centre comes out clean. For cupcakes bake for 20-25 minutes. Leave to cool for 5-10 minutes in the tin before removing and allow to cool completely on a cooling rack. To make a Simply Delicious Red Velvet Cake spread a layer of Dr. Oetker Cream Cheese Style Icing on the bottom half of the cake, sandwich together and cover the top with the remainder of the icing.
