Despite the relatively large plantings of Chardonnay in Australia it has become much in demand domestically and around the world. Stylistically it has evolved from the 1980s 'sunshine in a bottle' to a wine still bursting with peachy flavour but with fine citrussy acidity and very careful use of oak.
