And here we have a great classic of gelateria, which is all too often ruined with colourings and flavouring pastes, ingredients that are unpleasant but necessary when insufficient quantities of strawberries are used. To make a really great sorbet, at the farm Mura Mura® we have planted different varieties of strawberry - Annabelle, Syria, Mara des Bois, Clery, Dely, Joly, Asia, Cristina, aromatic Tortona and Murano. This experimental strawberry bed enables us to discover which is the best variety to use in a sorbet. After choosing the most suitable cultivar, in fact, we ask the farmers we collaborate with to grow them for us, and then we use them in large quantities. Just think that every kilo of GROM gelato contains half a kilo of fresh strawberries, which means that chemical additives are unnecessary. But be careful - you may find a few strawberry seeds stuck between your teeth! Yes, you read correctly. Just as you would do, we chose to make our sorbets and Sicilian granita with water from "Sparea" Springs. This water is born in a unique niche in the Piedmontese Alps and is extremely light and pure - ideal for accompanying the fruit from the organic farm, Mura Mura. We are a little crazy… but you can certainly taste the difference!
