Shortbread What you need... - 250g plain flour - 250g butter - 120g caster sugar - 100g cornflour - Pinch of salt How to make... 1. Heat the oven to 190°C (Fan 170°C) / Gas mark 5 and lightly grease and line a baking tray 2. Sift the flour, cornflour and salt together in a bowl 3. In a separate bowl, mix the sugar and butter together until fluffy 4. Add the flour mix to the sugar and butter and mix together to form a smooth dough 5. Roll out on a lightly floured work surface to 1.5cm thick 6. Cut dough into desired shapes, place on baking tray and prick with a fork 7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a light golden colour
