Preparation and Usage

Get ready to enjoy! All you need is... 1 medium egg cold water To prepare and cook... 1. Pre-heat oven to 220ºC (190ºC for a fan oven) / 425ºF / Gas Mark 7. Grease 12 small patty tins or an 18cm (7'') baking tin with oil or fat. Place in the top shelf of oven until smoking hot. 2 Beat the mix in a bowl with 1 medium sized egg and 100ml (7 tablespoons) of cold water until smooth. Add a further 100ml (7 tablespoons) of cold water and continue beating. 3 Pour batter into tins. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Why not make pancakes? Beat 300ml (1/2 pint) of cold water, an egg and the batter mix together gradually into a smooth batter. Heat 1 teaspoon (5ml) of oil in a 20cm (8'') non-stick frying pan until just smoking hot. Pour sufficient batter to cover base of pan and cook until golden brown. Turn (or flip if you dare) and cook the other side.
