Brand Marketing
Traidcraft - Pioneering Fair Trade In 2009, Coop, through our partnership with Traidcraft, launched the UK's first Fair Trade charcoal, to support charcoal burners and workers in Namibia. Through our partnership live have since raised hundreds of thousands of pounds to fund projects that benefit charcoal workers and their communities. These funds mean Jumbo's charcoal workers can buy their children exercise books and stationery, which are scarce in Namibian state schools. "Thanks to the donation from Fair Trade, I was able to send both my children to school with exercise books and stationery." Miriam Immanuel, Jumbo worker. Money raised through the Fair Trade program has also been used to upgrade sanitation in the local secondary school, providing clean, usable toilets and wash basins. "We are very thankful to Fair Trade for the new facilities. When I came to the school in 2019, my students had nowhere to go for their bathroom breaks. Everything was backed up and completely broken." Nuugulu Teofilus, Headmaster, Okahandja Senior Secondary School. "The upgrade was a really good thing. The facilities were very bad before Fair Trade changed that, but now they are very nice and actually usable." Jeanetta Namises, student. By choosing Fair Trade, you're helping to make a difference.
Safety Warning
AVOID FIRES! Careless use of Barbecues causes fires Place on a hard non flammable surface Extinguish after use Dispose of responsibly Warning Charcoal generates extreme heat and therefore great care must be taken when using, handling and disposing of the charcoal. Use in a well ventilated area - never use indoors, in confined spaces, or in prohibited areas. Never pour lighting agents onto a lit barbecue. Never use alcohol, petrol, methylated spirits or similar flammable liquids with this product. Never place your barbecue on a surface which is liable to be damaged or is not solid and secure. Never handle your barbecue while in use - it soon becomes very hot. Always keep children and pets away from the barbecue and barbecue area. Immediately after you have finished cooking, extinguish completely with water and allow to cool before handling or moving your barbecue. Food Safety Always wash hands thoroughly, especially before and after handling raw food, and before eating. Raw meat should be kept separate from cooked meat and ready to eat foods. Barbecued food may look cooked when it isn't. Cook chicken, pork, burgers, sausages and kebabs until they are piping hot all the way through, none of the meat is pink, and any juices run clear.
