Preparation and Usage

Preparation Guidelines All cooking appliances vary, the following instructions are guidelines only. You will need: - 1 medium egg - 65ml semi-skimmed milk - 80g softened unsalted butter - Cupcake or muffin tin 1. Pre-heat the oven to 180ºC/ Fan 160ºC/ Gas Mark 4. Place the 6 cupcake cases into a cupcake tray. 2. Empty the cupcake mix into a bowl and add the egg and 60ml (4 tbsp) milk. Mix using an electric hand whisk for 1 minute. 3. Divide the mix equally between the 6 cases and bake in the centre of the oven for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown. 4. Remove from the oven and leave to cool in the tray for 5 minutes and then transfer to a cooling rack. 5. Empty the Icing mix into a bowl and add the softened butter and 5ml (1tsp) of milk. Mix together and then whisk with an electric mixer to make the icing light and fluffy. 6. Once the cupcakes have cooled, pipe or spoon the frosting and decorate with the sugar strands.
