Recipes

Sabut Urid Dal Serves 4 Ingredients 250g Natco urid beans, soaked overnight and drained; 700ml water; 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped; 1 onion, finely chopped; 2 tomatoes, finely chopped; 2 green chillies, finely chopped; 1 tsp salt; 2 tbsp Natco butter ghee; 1 tsp Natco cumin seeds; 1/2 tbsp Natco garam masala; fresh coriander, chopped. Method Cook the beans as per the cooking instructions above. Add the garlic, onion, tomatoes, green chillies and salt and simmer for a further 15 mins. In a separate pan melt the butter ghee, add the cumin seeds and fry until they splutter. Then add to the dal mixture and stir well. Garnish with a sprinkling of garam masala and coriander leaves. Serve with Natco Basmati rice.
