Preparation and Usage
How to Make Atta (Flatbread Dough) Atta is a blend of white flour used in the basic dough needed for making various kinds of Roti, commonly called Chapati. For the Perfect Roti: 1 You will need: 500g medium atta, optional - pinch of salt, 470ml of warm water, 3 tbsp vegetable - 1 oil, skillet or Tava for cooking Roti, Rolling Pin. 2 Mix flour and salt (optional) together in a bowl. Add vegetable oil and stir. Gently add water, - 2 continually mixing until a semi soft dough. Cover with a moist cloth and rest for 10 minutes. 3 Make small balls, slightly smaller than an egg in size. Flatten and roll on dry flour with a rolling pin. It should be 4-5 mm thick and 6-8 inches in diameter and round in shape. 4 Cook in a preheated Skillet, Tava or a Griddle until golden brown on both sides. Serve with a knob of butter.
Storage
Always store Laila Flour in a cool dry place. Keep the sack tightly closed. Ensure the container is clean and dry and do not mix old and new flour. Best before end: See side of pack
