Easy to Cook Hard to Resist! Kofta Curry© Meat Balls in Spicy Curry Ingredients Required - Quantity & Preparation Minced Meat 1 kg, finely grounded to a paste Onions 4 medium, grounded/300g Yogurt, Plain 1 1/2 cups, whipped/300g Garlic Paste 1 tablespoon Green Coriander 2 tablespoons, chopped Ghee/Oil 1-1 1/2 cups/ 175g-250g Shan Kofta Curry Mix One packet (use less for mild hot) Steps of Cooking 1. In the minced meat, add half grounded onions, half yogurt, green coriander 2 tablespoons Shan Kofta Curry Mix. Knead to make a smooth dough. Make about 40 small round meat balls. 2. Heat ghee and fry the remaining onions paste until golden. Add garlic, the remaining yogurt and Shan Kofta Curry Mix. Stir fry for few minutes and then add 2-3 glasses of water. Boil for about 15 minutes on medium heat. 3. Add meat balls and reduce the heat. Cook until meat balls are tender; about 20-30 minutes. Do not stir with a spoon. Serving Suggestion. Garnish with chopped coriander. Serve with plain boiled rice or hot chappaties. Serve 6-8 persons. Tips for Best Results: If the meat balls break, add a whisked egg in the mince. To make softer Koftas: soak a slice of bread in water and mash it. Then lightly squeeze out the water and mix in the minced meat. Palak Kofta© Meat Balls in Spinach Curry In the above recipe add 500g finely chopped and boiled Spinach in step No. 2 before adding water. Then follow the above recipe. Mix 1/2 cup of milk before removing from heat. Kofta Kari© Meat Balls in Yogurt Curry Take additional ingredients: Besan/yellow gram Flour 1/2 cup, Yogurt 1 1/2 cups/300g Curry Leaves 25. Follow the above recipe for Kofta Curry until Step No. 1 Donot add yogurt in the minced meat. Mix Besan, yogurt, garlic, grounded onions, Shan Kofta Curry Mix and 6-8 glasses of water. Bring to boil. Stir continuously. Then add meat balls and cook on low heat for 30 minutes. Heat half cup of ghee/oil and fry the curry leaves for few minutes and add to Kofta Kari.
