Preparation and Usage

Usage Place one or two fire lighters as required on a thin layer or cinders or the fuel to be used. Cover fire lighters with small pieces of fuel loosely so as to leave air spaces and place more fuel in a small heap over the fire lighters. Light a corner of the fire lighter (long matches are recommended). Keep the draught regulator half-closed until lit. After fuel is lit use maximum draught. In open fires, under suitable conditions, one fire lighter will ignite house coal and smokeless fuels suitable for this purpose. In closed fires, two or more fire lighters placed side by side will ignite smokeless fuels recommended for this usage. Ensure fire lighter is completely burnt away before cooking food on a barbecue.
