Preparation and Usage

All you need is... 1 medium egg Cold water 35ml (7 teaspoons of oil for frying) Dare to do the flip? Get Ready to Flip! To mix up the Batter... Mix 500ml (17 fl.oz) of cold water, an egg and the pancake mix together. Beat into a smooth batter. To Cook to Perfection... 1 Heat 1 teaspoon (5ml) of oil in a 20cm (8") non-stick frying pan until just smoking hot. 2 Swirl the oil around the pan until the base is covered. 3 Pour 70-80ml of batter into the centre of the pan and roll around gently to cover base. 4 Turn the pancake carefully with a spatula, or flip if you dare! Cook both sides until golden brown. 5 Repeat using 1/2 - 1 teaspoon of oil per pancake, until all the batter has been used. Topping... Simply warm up the sachets of golden syrup in a mug of hot water for one minute. Snip off the corner and squeeze over the pancakes to serve. Feeling Naughty? Our golden syrup pancakes go so well with a little chopped banana or ice cream - why not treat yourself!
