Preparation and Usage

Preparation All cooking appliances vary, the following instructions are guidelines only. Preheat the oven to 200°C /180°C / Gas Mark 6. 1. Empty the contents of the sachet into a medium sized bowl. 2. Add 250ml of cold water, stir well and leave to stand for 5 minutes, until the mixture has thickened. 3. Using lightly floured hands shape into 6 sausages. 4. Place in the centre of the oven and bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden. 5. Alternatively heat 1-2 tbsp of oil in a pan and fry the sausages over a medium heat for 4-5 minutes until lightly browned.

Recipe suggestion Lincolnshire Sausage with Colcannon and Gravy Ingredients for 2 servings 1 sachet of Granose Meat Free Lincolnshire Sausage Mix 350g potatoes, peeled and chopped 2tbsp vegetable oil 1/2 Savoy cabbage, finely shredded 1 small white onion, finely chopped 75ml hot milk or soya milk 2tsp flour 1/2 pt vegetable stock Salt and freshly ground black pepper Method 1. Prepare the meat free Lincolnshire sausage mix as directed on the pack and keep warm. 2. Put the potatoes into a large pan of water and bring to the boil, simmer until cooked. 3. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a large frying pan and fry the shredded cabbage, cooking until softened. 4. Meanwhile prepare the onion gravy. 5. Fry the sliced onions in the remaining oil until cooked through, then stir in the flour. Stir for 1 minute until the flour is cooked through. Pour in the vegetable stock and stir well. Bring to the boil then simmer for 5 minutes. 6. To make the colcannon, drain the potatoes then add the hot milk. Mash until creamy then stir in the cooked cabbage. Season to taste. Serve the sausage and colcannon together and pour over the onion gravy.
