Red Italian Wine

This wine is made from Corvina and Rondinella grapes grown in the Valpolicella Classico region northwest of Verona. To make this Ripasso, the air-dried skins used for Amarone are added to the Valpolicella wine for a second fermentation. The result is this intense, red wine, with a bouquet of ripe red berries and a hint of spice. Full-bodied, yet smooth and velvety, it is fine companion for all meat dishes, both grilled and braised, and farmhouse cheeses.
