Suggestion Royal Icing Recipe Ingredient / Weight (grams) Siúcra Icing Sugar 500 Egg Whites (Size, Medium) 2 Lemon Juice (optional) Teaspoon Glycerine (optional) Teaspoon Siúcra - Make-Up Instructions! 1. Sieve Siúcra Icing Sugar into a bowl. 2. In a separate bowl, lightly whisk the to egg whites until barely frothy. 3. Gradually add in half of the sieved icing sugar, beating with whisk or electric beater. 4. Add the Lemon juice and Glycerine and mix well. 5. Continue adding the remaining icing sugar, a tablespoon at a time, whisking or beating after each addition. If Icing seems too stiff add a few drops of water - if it is too soft add a little sugar. Siúcra - Useful Hints! For a lighter consistency continue to beat for 5 - 8 minutes after the icing sugar has been added. Have the egg-whites at room temperature for several hours before use. Leave the icing to stand for, at least 1 hour before use. Cover with damp cloth or place in a plastic container with an air-tight lid. Keeping Time! Up to 1 week, if beaten daily.
